What to expect
- You sit in a quiet room and wear headphones.
- Tones play in one ear at a time. You press a button or raise a hand when you hear them.
- Bone-conduction testing may follow to see if the issue is in the outer, middle or inner ear.
- Your audiologist explains the audiogram in plain language and next steps.
