Who it is for
Infants, young children, people who cannot do PTA, and adults when nerve or brainstem hearing is in question.
What to expect
- The person should be calm or asleep — babies often need natural sleep or, in hospital, sedation as advised by a doctor.
- Sensors are placed on the forehead and behind the ears.
- You rest quietly while the computer averages responses.
- Results help confirm loss type and next steps: aids, implant work-up or medical referral.
